BIRTH FOUR-WEEK DEVOTIONAL

Have you ever wanted something so badly that it was all that you could think about?

Were you so consumed with it that you couldn’t eat or sleep and you wept with longing?

Was the desire for this thing so great that you begged God to give it to you and you swore to God that if He gave it to you you would use it for His glory?

In 1 Samuel 1, we read the story of Hannah. We are told that Hannah was the wife of Elkanah and she had no children. Hannah’s desire to have children was so great that she was often driven to tears and sadness.

Years passed before Hannah would see the fruit of her prayers.

In 1 Samuel 1:11, it says:

And she vowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.”

Many other women in the Bible were barren - most notably, Rebekah, Sarah, Rachel, Manoah’s wife and Elizabeth.

When God finally opened their womb, what they brought forth were God’s instruments, men who would play an important role in God’s plan for His people.

In this four-week devotional, you will begin the process of birthing what God has put inside you.
